Liaison Librarians, Role Overview: Getting Started

Introduction to the Guide

Overview

Every academic discipline is assigned a liaison librarian from the O’Grady Library to support the University’s faculty and students, ensuring the Library is engaged with its stakeholders at a level that enfranchises student and faculty success.

Liaison librarians provide support in three core capacities:

  • Teaching and Learning
  • Research Services
  • Collection Development and Resources

The librarians collaborate with each other as well as other cross-campus partners to engage and support the Saint Martin’s community as a whole.

Our Commitment

As liaison librarians, we will remain committed to communicating with faculty and instructors in our liaison areas by employing the most effective means of communicating new resources, opportunities, and updates pertaining to the O’Grady Library’s offerings. Likewise, we will stay engaged with faculty in our liaison areas to learn about their specializations and research goals.
