Annotated bibliographies are a collection of annotations, or short descriptions, about information sources. As students, annotated bibliographies can be helpful in keeping track of sources for a longer paper or for showing that you actually have done research. Professionally, annotated bibliographies are published to help researchers get a handle on what has been published in a given field. For example, here is a link to a published annotated bibliography on the Spanish-American War and military actions in the Philippines.
