Antiracism

"People who treat other people as less than human must not be surprised when the bread they have cast on the waters comes back floating to them, poisoned."

James Baldwin

This guide has been written as part of Saint Martin's University's self-examination and commitment to our aspiration of becoming an antiracist institution.  It is not comprehensive but is meant to be a springboard for the SMU community to learn about how racism functions and how it can be challenged and dismantled both in the institution itself and in our own lives.

Admittedly, this first iteration is skewed towards anti-Black racism, but will be expanded in the future; if you have any comments or suggestions for this research guide, please contact Kael Moffat.
